Book a collection

What you need to know before booking your collection

  • Collections in the City of Vincent occur on Thursdays (except Public Holidays). All dates available to book are presented on the Booking Request Form, where up to 8 weeks of dates are available to choose.

    Collections run anytime between 7am and 4pm on your scheduled collection date, where collection routes are determined based on efficiency for the day. If unforeseen circumstances delay your collection on your scheduled date, the Verge Valet Collection Team will notify you.

  • Bulk Waste

    Verge Valet™ accepts most items for collection. Generally, things that the Verge Valet Collection Team cannot collect are listed in the right column below. These items will be left behind if put out for collection, and a non-conformance notice will be issued – this is for the safety of our team.

    Each collection must be no more than 3m3 (3m x 1m x 1m). Items must be less than 1.5m in length to be easily picked up and put into the collection truck. We understand this may not be possible for bulky furniture items.

    Fencing (timber & steel only) NO hazardous materials (flammable, toxic or corrosive liquids)
    Floor coverings (linoleum, carpet) NO paint
    Fridges/freezers (doors removed) NO dirt, garden waste, soil, sand & mulch
    Garden hoses NO tyres
    General junk NO vehicles, car bodies, car parts
    Household furniture (no glass) How much can I put out per collection?

    Please note: Bulk waste items that are not accepted in a Verge Valet™ collection may be taken to the West Metro Recycling Centre. Details here.

  • Please read and adhere to the set out instructions below to ensure your collection goes smoothly* (we promise it’s not hard).

    *Failure to adhere to these guidelines may result in a non-conformance and your waste not being collected. You may lose your allocation if non-collection is due to non-conformance.

  • We get it, life happens.

    You can change, cancel, or postpone your booking up to one business day before your collection date. Simply complete the Change, Cancel or Contact form in the menu bar above. Alternatively, you can phone us on 9384 6711 during business hours.

    Please give at least one business day’s notice or you will lose your collection allocation.

  • You can use Verge Valet Extra!

    Verge Valet Extra is a pre-paid collection service available to properties that have used all the available allocations, community groups and businesses. This is essentially a private collection service agreement between you and the Verge Valet Collection Team that uses the same size limit, accepted items list and set out instructions as Verge Valet™. To book a Verge Valet Extra collection, proceed through to the Booking Request Form and select the ‘Verge Valet Extra’ box on the final page to enter your card details.

     

    Prices for these are as follows (inc GST):

    Bulk waste: $200.00

    Mattress: $85.00
